  • Total Time: 5 hours 10 minutes
  • Yield: 36 squares 1x

Description

This indulgent slow cooker fudge recipe combines condensed milk, milk and dark chocolate, and a touch of vanilla for a rich, smooth treat. Slowly cooked in a slow cooker, the fudge is easy to prepare with minimal hands-on time and results in irresistibly creamy squares perfect for sharing or gifting.

Ingredients

Scale

Fudge Ingredients

  • 375g can condensed milk
  • 250g milk chocolate, chopped
  • 250g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 100g light brown soft sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Vegetable oil, for greasing the tin

Instructions

  1. Prepare Slow Cooker: Set your slow cooker to low heat setting.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In the slow cooker, pour in the condensed milk, chopped milk chocolate, chopped dark chocolate, light brown soft sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Cook Mixture: Cook the mixture for 1 hour, stirring thoroughly every 15 minutes with a spatula. Scrape the sides and bottom to ensure nothing sticks, continuing until the mixture is thick and smooth.
  4. Prepare Tin: Lightly oil a 20 cm square baking tin and line it with baking parchment to prevent sticking.
  5. Pour and Chill: Pour the cooked fudge mixture into the prepared tin and chill in the refrigerator for 4 hours until set.
  6. Cut and Store: Once set, cut the fudge into 36 squares using a sharp knife. Store the fudge in an airtight container in the fridge and consume within three days.

Notes

  • Use a sharp knife to cut the fudge neatly into squares.
  • Ensure to stir every 15 minutes to prevent scorching or sticking to the slow cooker bowl.
  • You can line the baking tin with parchment for easier removal and clean-up.
  • For longer storage, freeze the fudge squares in a sealed container.
