Scale
Main Ingredients
- 2 Mandarin Oranges
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1/4 cup Oats
- 1/2 tablespoon Honey
- 2 tablespoons Chia Seeds
- 1 tablespoon Dark Chocolate (optional)
Instructions
- Blend the Base: In a blender, combine 1 mandarin orange (peeled and sectioned), 1/2 cup of milk, 1/4 cup oats, and 1/2 tablespoon honey. Blend until smooth and well combined to create a creamy base for the pudding.
- Add Chia Seeds and Chill: Transfer the blended mixture to a serving glass or bowl. Gently stir in 2 tablespoons of chia seeds. Cover and refrigerate for at least two hours to allow the mixture to thicken and develop a pudding-like consistency.
- Prepare Toppings and Serve: Before serving, top the pudding with the sections from the remaining mandarin orange for a fresh citrus burst. Optionally, sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of dark chocolate pieces for added richness and flavor.
Notes
- For a vegan option, substitute dairy milk with almond or soy milk and use maple syrup instead of honey.
- Chia seeds absorb liquid and thicken the pudding, so don’t skip the chilling step.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less honey according to taste.
- This pudding can be prepared the night before for a quick grab-and-go breakfast.
- Dark chocolate topping is optional but adds a nice contrast to the citrus flavor.
