Instructions
- Combine the base ingredients: In a bowl, mix the ready-made houmous with the finely grated zest and juice of one lemon along with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Stir until well combined to infuse the fresh lemon flavor thoroughly into the hummus.
- Plate and add harissa: Spread the lemony houmous evenly over a small serving plate. Using a spoon, gently swirl in the 2 tablespoons of harissa to create a marbled, spicy effect across the top of the hummus.
- Top with nuts and herbs: Scatter the toasted pine nuts and roughly chopped coriander or flat-leaf parsley evenly over the surface. Drizzle a little extra olive oil over the top to add richness and shine.
