Egg BLT Sliders Recipe

  • Author: Ben
  • Total Time: 21 minutes
  • Yield: 12 sliders 1x
  • Diet: Low Fat

Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Egg BLT Sliders featuring crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, juicy cherry tomatoes, and creamy mayonnaise sandwiched between perfectly halved hard-boiled eggs. A fresh twist on the classic BLT, these sliders are perfect for appetizers or a light snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Eggs and Toppings

  • 12 Hard-Boiled Eggs
  • 8 Cherry Tomatoes
  • 1 head Lettuce

Bacon and Condiments

  • 6 Rashers Bacon
  • 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • Coarse Salt, to taste
  • Freshly Ground Black Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Bacon: In a large skillet set over medium-low heat, cook the 6 rashers of bacon until crisp, about 5 to 6 minutes. Remove the bacon and drain on paper towels; set aside.
  2. Prepare the Eggs: Cut each hard-boiled egg in half. For 6 of the eggs, trim a small slice off the bottom half so that it can stand upright. Leave the remaining 6 eggs uncut on the bottom half to serve as the top of the slider.
  3. Assemble Bottom Layer: Spread a small amount of mayonnaise onto the bottom half of the trimmed eggs to add creaminess and flavor.
  4. Add Fillings: On top of the mayonnaise-spread egg halves, layer a piece of crispy bacon, fresh lettuce leaves, and halved cherry tomatoes. Add another piece of bacon over the tomatoes for extra crunch and flavor.
  5. Top and Secure Sliders: Place the untrimmed top halves of the eggs onto the layered bottoms. Secure each slider with a toothpick or bamboo skewer to hold everything together.
  6. Season and Serve: Sprinkle the sliders with coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Serve immediately and enjoy your fresh Egg BLT Sliders!

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh eggs to boil so the yolks are bright and the whites firm.
  • You can substitute mayonnaise with a light dressing or a flavored aioli for different taste variations.
  • To make it easier to eat, consider cutting the assembled sliders in half or serving with small forks.
  • Make sure to pat bacon dry after cooking to remove excess grease for a less oily slider.
