Halloumi
- 225g halloumi, cut into 6cm x 1cm thick slices
- 1 tsp olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp smoked paprika, mixed herbs, or other flavourings (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Air Fryer: Heat your air fryer to 200°C (392°F) for 2 minutes to ensure it reaches the optimal cooking temperature.
- Prepare Halloumi: Carefully pat the halloumi slices dry with kitchen paper or a clean cloth to remove excess moisture, then brush or rub each slice with olive oil. Season with salt, pepper, and any optional flavourings such as smoked paprika or mixed herbs.
- Cook Halloumi: Place the prepared halloumi slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 8 minutes until they start to turn golden brown on one side.
- Flip and Finish Cooking: Flip the halloumi slices over and continue cooking for an additional 2 to 5 minutes until they are crisp and golden on the outside.
